Paula Okunzuwa
Paula Okunzuwa is an entrepreneur and model based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The Challenge
Paula reached out to me in early 2019 and was looking to get some personal branding done for herself and a few other ventures she was starting with. She described the character of the brand she wanted was delicate, yet assertive; minimal and classy. She was after something which had to have her name, so a logotype of sorts, but not strictly in the horizontal space. Something which could later be extended if she intends to branch out as well.
The Design Process.
I started off by giving her a board of some options that I digitized and see what she liked, so I could understand the aesthetic that she might lean towards.
She was interested in more of a curvy mark, rather than something rigid and solid. Soon, it hit me, and I proposed the idea of handwritten + shape.
The proposed logo used the visual analogy of 'Paula's world', which worked really well with her personal identity and style along with any other ventures she'd plan to bring up in the future.
Paula was also opening an online store for silk fashion that she'd be designing soon. I proposed a website concept for the same too.
